  • Congratulations to our Falconettes on winning 7 awards at Crowd Pleasers Dance Competition and being invited to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in 2017!
  • Congratulations to Leyna P. on winning the PISD Spelling Bee! Leyna will compete at the Regional Scripts Spelling Bee at UH on April 1st at 1:30! Be sure to watch it on PBS!!!
  • Congratulations to our Falcon Symphonic Band on earning a Sweepstakes award at UIL competition! This is the first ever Sweepstakes win for our Symphonic band!
  • Congratulations to our Falcon Varsity Women's Choir on earning a Sweepstakes award at UIL competition!

  • Join us for our Choir Holiday Concert at United Methodist Church at 6:30pm on Monday, 12/12!
  • Our Band Holiday Concert will be held at Miller on Tuesday, 12/13 at 6:30pm! Come out and enjoy!
  • Boys & Girls Basketball pictures will be taken on Wednesday, 12/14. Get with your coach for times and details. 
  • Our annual Festival of Lights will be held on Thursday, 12/15 at 5:30! Join us as Falcon Country is transformed in to a winter wonderland with lights, decorations, activities, music and snacks! Everyone is welcome and everything is free! 
  • Both Thursday & Friday are early dismissal days in preparation for our Winter Break!

Week of December 9, 2016

  • The Pasadena Lighted Parade was rescheduled due to weather. Due to other schedule conflicts, band will no longer participate in the event. Be sure to go out and visit the parade with your families! 
  • Spanish Credit By Exam (CBE) will be administered on Tuesday, 12/6 for those students who have registered to take the test. Good luck!
  • Progress Reports will be sent home on Wednesday, 12/7. Please review your child's grades and discuss their goals and plans for the remainder of the six weeks. Your child should return their signed progress report to their homeroom teacher. 
  • Orchestra will take their holiday tour on Thursday, 12/8 to bring joyful music to the public!

Week of November 18, 2016

  • Join us for Pastries with the Principal on Tuesday at 9am! Along with a light breakfast, there will be a Q & A with the principal, information on academic resources, emotional and social resources from the counselors, and much more!
  • McDonalds on 45 & Almeda Genoa is hosting our first McTeacher Fundraising Night! Come join us for dinner from 5-8pm & McDonald's will donate a portion of all sales to our school! 
  • Eighth grade students will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday. Please be sure to get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast to help prepare them to do their very best! 
  • Seventh grade students will take the career exploration test, Kudor, on Tuesday and Wednesday during their TX History classes. 
  • College Transitional Night is Thursday at 6:30pm! Come and join us for information on the college path with a panel Q & A session, representatives from colleges, information on financial aid, and much more! 
  • Students who qualified for the attendance incentive will visit the TX Invitational Basketball Tournament on Thursday and Friday this week! Permission slips were due on Monday and NO LATE slips will be accepted. 
  • There is no school next week in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday! Have a happy and safe holiday!

  • We celebrate Red Ribbon Week this week with activities each day to remind students the importance of staying drug-free!

  • Join us for our Homecoming Tailgate Party in the parking lot of Veteran's Memorial Stadium Monday at 4:30! Free hotdogs, music, and fun!
  • Our Falcon Fall Fest will be held on Thursday from 5:30-7 at the V.W. Miller parking lot. Join us for fun, games, music, and dancing! All are welcome! 
  • The 3-week grading period ends Friday! Be sure to get all of your assignments in!

  • ​​Homecoming Dance Tickets will continue being sold in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch. Dance tickets are $5. Buy yours before we sell out!
  • Homecoming Spirit Days begin this week! Get your spirit gear ready for Twin Day on Thursday & Nerd Day on Friday! 
  • Homecoming Dance is Friday from 5:30-7:30. All clothing must meet district dress code guidelines. Failure to meet dress code guidelines could result in entry refusal.

  • New 6-weeks begins Monday, 10/3.  
  • This week is Bully Prevention Week. Students will have lessons on identifying and preventing bullying. 
  • Tablets & Netbooks are still being distributed. Thank you for your patience as we continue to get these out to students. 
  • Picture Day is Tuesday! All students will report to 1st period to take their pictures. All students will take pictures regardless of whether or not they are purchasing packages. 
  • Report Cards go home on Thursday! Please take a moment to review your report card, set goals for next six weeks, and return your signed report card to school. 
  • Reminder: there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, 10/7 or Monday, 10/10! Enjoy your long weekend and stay safe.
