2025 Spelling Bee Champion

Ellie N. emerged victorious in the V. W. Miller Intermediate spelling bee Tuesday, claiming the championship after a marathon of 15 competitive rounds. The contest tested students’ vocabulary, composure, and quick thinking as each round narrowed the field.
Throughout the event Ellie displayed steady focus and clear pronunciation, spelling a wide range of challenging words before securing the winning spelling in the final round.
Runner-up Sam J. mounted a strong challenge and remained a formidable competitor until the final rounds.
The spelling bee was organized by Ms. Herrod, the librarian, and supported by the campus instructional coaches. Teachers noted the students’ preparation—many had studied for weeks—and highlighted the event as a valuable opportunity to build confidence and public speaking skills.
Ellie will represent V. W. Miller Intermediate at the district spelling bee this spring. Best of luck, Ellie!
