V. W. Miller Counseling Department Earns CREST Advocacy Award

The V. W. Miller Intermediate counseling team has been honored with the CREST Advocacy Award in recognition of their outstanding commitment to student well‑being. The award celebrates school counseling programs that demonstrate exceptional advocacy, leadership, and collaborative support for students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
CREST (Counseling Recognition for Excellence in School-based Triumphs) recognizes schools that implement proactive counseling practices, coordinate services across families and community partners, and create inclusive environments where every student can thrive. Recipients are evaluated on criteria such as student-centered interventions, equity-focused supports, and measurable outcomes that improve student success.
Congratulations to our counseling team — Mrs. Trejo, Ms. Sifuentes, and Mrs. Zavala — for earning this well-deserved honor. We also applaud our faculty and staff for their partnership in fostering a safe, supportive school culture. Their combined efforts ensure the total well‑being of V. W. Miller Intermediate students through counseling, mentoring, and targeted supports.
The school community thanks the counselors, teachers, and support staff for their dedication and looks forward to continuing programs that promote students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
